Course Description
Course description
Scaffold Inspection training teaches candidates to inspect and certify scaffolding as safe for use in accordance with Construction (Design & Management) Regulations 2007 (CDM). Training complies with the elements contained within the Working at Height Regulations 2005.
Scaffold Inspection course candidates will learn of the responsibilities under current scaffold inspection regulations for certifying any scaffold structure as safe to use such that dangers to any person including members of the public are prevented. Inspection of scaffold training includes knowledge of legal duties, accident causes and prevention methods including the use of proper personal protective equipment and fall protection systems where appropriate.
Candidates will be able to identify components of the scaffold structure, learn proper record keeping and reporting of structural inspections. The use of an appropriate scaffold tagging system such as Scafftag to visibly mark the present status of a structure following inspection, unsafe scaffolding procedures and actions to be taken in the case that any structure is deemed unsafe or faulty make up attributes of this training course to meet regulations for Scaffold Inspection courses.
Training should be undertaken by anyone who is responsible for the stability of scaffold structures to ensure that all practicable steps are taken ensure safety. Scaffold Inspection courses are available to candidates of all experience levels across the majority of scaffold systems and equipment setups. Successful candidates receive a Scaffold Inspection certificate, sometimes referred to as a Scaffold Inspection ticket; this provides evidence that the candidate has completed training and is certified to inspect and certify scaffold structures as safe as outlined on the certification.
